Your essay should include the following elements:

• A claim, supporting reasons, and evidence from sources
• An introduction paragraph, body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph
• A counterclaim, and a response that supports your own argument
• Transitions to show links between ideas and to improve sentence flow
