One important learning objective is to apply management theories to real-life scenarios. With this in mind, you are recommended to finish a movie analysis OR book review. You will provide your analysis on the movie OR book that you choose using the HR topics we have covered in the class, including the HR strategies, laws and ethics, risk management, etc. The report should be double-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1” margins around. The minimum length is 3 pages, and the maximum length is 5 pages (not include the cover page and references). In 3-5 pages you are required to: Explain why you chose the movie OR book (no longer than half page) Give a brief overview of the movie OR book (no longer than half page). Describe at least 2 scenes OR stories OR chapters from your movie OR book; and explain why you believe they relate to HR management; and how they relate to what you’ve learn from this course (e.g., HR strategies, human capital management, laws, etc.). I would encourage you to view the movie/book from the perspective of a HR professional. You can be creative about the themes to be analyzed, HR concepts to be applied, and the structure of your report. I am grading on the depth of the analysis, the relevance of HR concepts (and how well you understand and apply the concepts), and the novelty of your perspectives (please check the rubrics on Canvas).
