Case Study

M.W. is a 30-year-old interior decorator who suffered a stable fracture of the pelvis in an automobile accident four days ago. She is 18 weeks pregnant and has multiple areas of soft tissue trauma to her legs as evidenced by large hematomas over the entire left leg and right thigh. She has treated with immobilization with bed rest. She is receiving 40 mg enoxaparin (Lovenox) subcutaneously daily, two tablets oxycodone/acetaminophen (Percocet) PO q4hr PRN, and two tsp of psyllium (Metamucil) twice a day.

1)M.W call the nurse before lunch and complain SOB, dooming feeling and seems very anxious.
