The American University of Beirut, the American University of Sharjah and the American University of Cairo are three of the best private universities in the Arab world. They are all licensed by and recognized by the American government as institutions providing education based on the American system of learning. Of the three, the American University in Beirut is the oldest, having been founded in 1866. the other two were established in 1997 and 1919 respectively. In this paper, I will review the Bachelor of Business Administration program offered at the three institutions of higher learning and then make recommendations as to the best place to study for it.

Admission requirements for the BBA program at the American University of Sharjah correspond to all other programs. In all the programs, in case of non-vocational certificates, only courses categorized as academic by the university are considered for admission and the determination of averages. The minimum requirements include the following:
