What is the difference between random sampling and stratified sampling?
A random sampling denotes that smaller portion of an overall population that was picked, at random to prevent bias, and used to represent the entire populaltion (or the base population). Stratified sampling further divides the base popultation into subgroups based on characteristics, such like age, sex, ethnicity, as to provide further analysis on the larger, base population.
