Two examples are failures to provide reliability and replicability. In the first, an experiment produces different results even under the same conditions. This can be modified by making the experimental design more consistent, for example by reducing variations in the function of equipment. In replication failures, researchers are unable to reproduce the results of the first experiment. To modify this, researchers can change the experiment, or provide improvements in how to conduct the experiment.
