Let us discuss two examples of how chemistry is applied to our everyday lives.

• Every day, we come across soaps, detergents, polymers, alloys and dyes. These all are manufactured by the chemical industries. All these items and many other organic and inorganic materials contribute a big way to the national economy.
• Chemistry plays a major role in meeting our needs for food, health care products and other materials which enhance our quality of life. The drugs we use to cure our diseases are all manufactured with the knowledge of chemistry.

We humans are also beautiful chemical creations and our all activities are controlled by the chemicals inside our body.
