Managerial roles are affected by leadership planning and compensation:

• Leadership planning involves developing strategic goals, setting the vision of the business organization and others. Managers should perform their roles in considering the goals of the organization. All that managers do should bring the business close to its goals and all activities that are to be performed by managers should help the organization to expand its business.
• Managerial roles are also affected by compensation. Compensation for all the levels of management in business organizations should be fair and competent. Managerial roles performed by managers should include employee benefits program in order to motivate employees in the organization. They should reward employees for their extraordinary work.

According to my opinion, yes, it is important for managers to be certified through human resource management. This will help managers to consider and respect the different cultures of the workforce. Managers will be more skilled and competent in handling the conflicts in the organization. It will also help managers to make decisions in favor of all the employees and do not overlook their interests. Being a certified professional, the manager will be able to handle his responsibilities efficiently.
