For discussions this week, select at least one of the following to discuss during the week.
1. Why do accounting rules differ from country to country? Explain in detail one of the factors that shape
the development of accounting in a country. 
2. What are the two major types of legal systems used in the world?  How does the type of legal system
in a country impact accounting?  You can discuss the country that you selected if you like.
3.  Select a country and discuss how their accounting developed. 
4. You can discuss the chapter 3 questions that start on page 79.  You can choose to discuss one of the
questions--there are 10 questions, so tell us which question you are discussing - explain the concepts you
are discussing and give examples.
