For your computer lab assignment you will be running the same statistical tests you have learned in class using the computer.  We will be using the program SPSS to do that.   The first file attached below contains the instructions for downloading and installing the program.  Be sure you install the program on a Mac or PC desktop or laptop computer.  The software will not run on a phone, tablet, or other portable devices.  Be sure to note the license key at the top of the attached file, which you need to use during the installation process.  Getting the program to download and install is the most difficult part of this assignment!

Once the program starts running cancel or close out of the tutorial wizard that pops up on the screen. It won't be of much help to you at this level.  So, you should be left with a screen that looks like graph paper and has some pull-down menus at the top of the screen.  Now open the files below and read the SPSS Guide first.  This tutorial explains how to put the data into SPSS.  The actual data and assignment is in the Lab Assignment file.  Be sure to read very closely to get the instructions correct.  Once you have run the program and have your output file you can just take a screenshot, or copy the text boxes to an MS Word file and upload the file.  Don't worry if the formatting gets messed up, but this is a better option than trying to work with SPSS files or the network drive.
