The contraction in 2001 lasted until November 2001 saw the increased demand for computer equipment, which lead to a boom and an ensuing bust. In 2008 saw the worst contraction in the United States economy in the 21st Century, yet; it was comparable to the Great Depression of the 1930s.In July 1990, the economic contraction was caused by the savings and loan crisis credited to be the worst bank collapse since the Great Depression.
