Basically, people make the best choice that provide optimal satisfaction, among the existing alternatives, to their limitless needs. Besides, the fact that resources are scarce explains why the society has embraced strategies focused on minimizing wastage. Consequently, it is through effective use of the available resources that best results can be achieved.

The best way of measuring social good is through determining its effectiveness. It entails gauging the degree to which it is successful in producing the desired results. In other words, effectiveness aids in determining to the extent to which a social good achieves the set objectives. It also ascertains if social good helps to solve the underlying problems.
