one trending topic as of late is the mandatory face mask rule that many states are implementing. One news story trending today is found on CNN entitled "Trump is clearly flirting with disaster." The one cause of this article is to present the president as being irresponsible for holding rallies while wearing no mask. Another cause is to place people in fear for not wearing a mask out in public as the article speaks briefly about Trump being elderly well into his 70's and being obese, (Edrman & LeBlanc, 2020, para 3). Lastly, the third cause is media attempting to suggest the mask to be mandatory when in public across the country. Trump is asked if the mask should be mandatory and within the interview Trump says he is all for mask but does not believe they should be mandatory.

The effects of this article can show in three ways, one being people afraid to step outside without a mask. Another effect is that there maybe some people whom can't afford mask or find mask, how will the public receive this mask? Lastly, the last effect of this article is it could damage President Trumps character, as the article presents him as an irresponsible president and one that places people in harms way with his rally's.
