A Dubai newspaper recently carried two advertisements from two different banks

If I am an investor I would prefer to invest in Bank B or rather I would say that a rational investor would invest in Bank B. This is because diversification is one of the most important part when it comes to making an investment. Bank B said they will invest into cash, bonds and shares depending upon the current and expected capital market conditions which gives a sense of diversification to the investors and saves them from the risk of putting all their eggs into one basket. On the other hand, Bank A said they will invest the money in the best shares which means they might be good at picking good return providing shares but they cannot provide investors with the diversification benefit so that if share market on a whole falls there is no other option like bonds or cash to make up for the investor's return as in Bank B.
