In analyzing a company's dividend management, what do you look out for? How can one analyze this?

When we are analysing the dividend management of the company, then we are looking for whether the company is paying with a consistent dividend or not and we are also trying to understand about the dividend payout ratio and derive that company is paying higher dividend or lower dividend and we are also looking for the life cycle of the company by determining at whether the company is a growing company or a mature company.

One can analyse this if there is higher payment of dividend, then there will be reflection that company have adequate cash in their hands and liquidity and it can also be understood that these are matured companies who does not have much of the growth left and they are also believing in paying out rather than investing in business whereas it's a growth oriented business, that will always reinvest the profits to the maximum extent.

Hence, Dividend will make us understand about the ability of the company and earnings of the company to pay the dividend consistently and liquidity as well as the life cycle of the company.
