You recently graduated with your degree and you are very much interested in working in the field of quail,. You understand that field of quality is broad and there are a lot of job opportuniti. in this field at any given time in many job sectors (healthcare. aviation. electronics/electrical. manufacturing, retail, IT. hospitality. etc.). 
You were just interviewed for a job at a fortune 500 company and this position is titled, "Continuous Improvement Engineer... The job description includes but is not limited to leading one or multisite quality improvement projects. facilitating team meetings on process improvement projects, documenting improvements achieved. ensuring that the manufacturing plant is meeting KPI (Key Performance Indicators) listed on the Balanced Scorecard (learn what Balanced Scorecard isl). lead cross-functional teams through kainn even. or sessions to help reduce waste and defects through tool and techniques like 5S, one piece flow concept. Andon, Kanban etc. 
Interviewing panel now gives you a case study where a company is losing a lot of money and customers' trust due to anor management of quality at a fictional company. Your job is to make an impact on company's culture and implement an ongoing formal Continuous Improvement program in the compa, (You can make additional assumptions as long as you d.cribe it on your assignment). 
Based on the above scenario, answer the following questions for your panel (Use first person to write this paper). Say, you have 2 hours to fully answer these questions. 
I. Establish a high level process map on how you will start and implement a Continuous Improvement Program at this company. It is suggested that you use QMS concepts or any part of ASQ Body of Knowledge (BOK) discussed in the class. 2. What Key performance indicators will you focus on that will be monitored a day to day basis (think from application level). How will these metrics calculated, documented and monitored on a daily basis? 3. How will you make sure everyone is accountable and involved in this program? 4. What tools and techniques would you use that you leamed in QMS 427/527 class, and how? Precisely show examples of how you see yourself using it 5. How can you assure you that you will be able to tumaround the compa,'s performance and customers' trust? 6. Why should we hire you? 
Please do not give sloppy answers just to get done with this assignment. Do your best to put yourself in this situation. If quality is not something that drives you, think if you are being interviewed for the job of your dream (even if you want to be an entrepreneur, you may have to borrow money from investors and for that too. you .11 have to show your value and efficiency). Trust me. in a, job these days, in my opinion. if you .n improve and make things better. they will for sure want to hire you. My philosophy is, same is with life. If you are a good person, believe in being organized, clean, efficient, etc. people around you will appreciate you, your relationships will last longer. and your life will be fulfilling.
