From 1985 to 1997, motorcycle rider training was mandatory in Quebec. In 1997, training was no longer a requirement for licensing, and motorcycle fatalities shot up by 46%. What kind of design is this? What conclusions can be drawn? Mandatory rider training was reintroduced in 2000. What could this add to our conclusions? Is there anything else we could do to increase the validity of our study?
