Research indicates that individual differences in fi ve-factor scores signifi cantly predict outcomes in domains of importance to applied psychologists, such as vocational guidance, personality diagnosis, work behavior, and psychological treatment. A limitation of the fi ve-factor trait model as an applied tool, however, is that it offers no specifi c recommendations concerning the process of personality change.
