As per the OIC central bank governors declarartion of 1982, shariah supervisory is not an aspect of relationship between central banks and islamic banks. This is because, the shariah supervisory comes under the shariah supervisory board who take care that the banking is done according to the shariah law. This aspect of the islamic banks is not under the purview of central banks. The central banks in turn support the islamic banks by being the lender of last resort and they supervise the monetary policies undertaken by the islamic banks and alse they are clearing houss for the Islamic Banks.
