You have a culture of yeast that is at a concentration of 4.76 x 106 cells/ml. You dilute the sample 1:100, and then 1:100 again, and finally you dilute the sample an additional 1:3. You add 0.1 ml of the final dilution to a spread plate. Assuming that most of the cells in the original culture were living, how many CFUs do you expect to count on your spread plate the next day?
