In modern society, Mesopotamia has far-reaching influence since even at this age of technology, people still believe in astrology. According to Laurence ( 2007):

In fact, many people read the horoscope in newspapers scouring for any prediction about their future. This influence was ushered by the coming of the New Age religion. In conclusion, old civilizations like Mesopotamia has highly-influenced religious beliefs which have permeated even modern -day societies.
