Views as a millennial vs my parents and grandparents differ as they are each shaped by the social issues that have been undergoing during the past decades

History

Views as a millennial vs my parents and grandparents differ as they are each shaped by the social issues that have been undergoing during the past decades. The political climate and events that they experienced as they reached adulthood are completely different than mine. They went through the Civil War, World Wars, and major events that shaped the history of our nation. For example, views regarding sexual preference, immigration, and religion have all changed as we become more culturally aware. In addition, the access that I have to information compared to the only source that my grandparents had (news & radio) and parents (tv, news & radio) - which set a stone in their political views-, is the greatest impact on my political view. Because of the diversity in my family, we all have different views, and while we agree to disagree, our underlying situations and values are respected. 2. In my opinion, my parent's party identifications have affected my own choice of a party because they were not pressuring me to vote for anyone. I do think that there is a similarity between my parents choice of parties and my choice of a party because we are both before focusing on the important that matter the most to us. My family has a great influence on my politic view for which political party I voted for but I did the research myself on both political parties. I voted for a political party not because my parents voted for the same political party but because I compared the two parties based off of who I think fits the presidential role of a leader the best. Based on my religious affiliation, ethnicity, gender, residence, and social class I am more inclined to vote for the republican party. My political views are not 100 % influenced by anyone but they are more influenced by what caterogies are lining up with my views and my beliefs that is why I chose the republican party. Respond to these two comments. Your answer need not disclose the political affiliation of you or your parents.  This is simply an opportunity to reflect on this relationship and to demonstrate an understanding of which sociodemographic groups align with each party. Response posts should always add something new.  Responses that describe the post (i.e. "This is a great post.  I like the way you said....  Good job!) will not get many points.  Conversely, you might say "Whilst I agree with you on point x, I think...." or "You make a good point on y; what about situations where...? I believe..." Think of the response as way for you to further demonstrate TO ME your understanding of the topic.
