In Module 7, you will have a paper due that focuses on a public health topic. To make sure that you are prepared for that assignment, in this module (Module 2) you will submit a proposal of the topic you plan to write your paper on.

This proposal must be at least 4 sentences and includes the following information:

1. A topic related to public health that you would like to focus on in your paper 
2. At least one factor (drawing on what you’ve learned in the course to this point) that contributes to this topic 
3. Why you think this is an important topic 

Once you submit your topic proposal, you will receive feedback from your instructor. You may receive guidance to change or refine your topic proposal. As the course progresses, you may also decide that you would like to change your topic statement. Any modifications to your original topic proposal must be submitted by Module 4/Week 4 and include an additional sentence explaining why you are requesting the change.
