In order to try and make this forum a little more friendly and not so impersonal I am requiring that each of you introduce yourself to me and to the other members of the class. This discussion will be worth 40 points and you can get up to 25 extra credit points by responding to your fellow classmates. After you make your initial post you will see your fellow students' posts. You can respond up to 5 other students for an additional 5 points each. 

Your initial post is due by Thursday, August 27th at 11:59pm to receive the 40 points. You have until Sunday, August 30th at 11:59pm to respond to your fellow classmates. (I am waiving the requirement to post your responses on a separate day for this discussion.)

Introductory Discussion

Please answer each of the following items:

1. Start off with your name and let me know if you have a nickname that you'd prefer to be called by.
2. Reason for taking the class and what goals are you looking to achieve by taking this course?
3. What is your major and when do you plan on graduating? Or if you have already graduated, when and what was your major?
4. If you could only have one type of food for the rest of your life what would it be, and why? :) (This could be just one thing or like your favorite dish!)
