Making the point about social impact issues visually is often an effective short cut. This assignment provides an opportunity to explore ways of doing this. Tasks i This assignment requires the student to select a social impact issue and explain its importance to a non-professional / non-SIA expert audience. ii The issue must be presented in 7 slides. The first slide will state the issue to be discussed. The following 6 slides will illustrate aspects of the chosen social impact issue which demonstrate why it is important. iii The slides should be copied into a word document. Each slide should have an accompanying short description of approximately 100 words. iv The sequence of slides and narrative should make a compelling case for the exercise of precaution regarding this social impact issue. v Submit your Word document via Turn-it-in on 2 November.
