Expert Solution
The definition of diversity is being composed of different elements. So many people have differing opinions on what diversity is and who it is. For me I see diversity as being different and accepting change within people and cultures. When asking people what they thought of diversity one response that was repeated to me multiple times is that when someone is diverse that they are changing a certain culture and being different. They think that when diverse people are in a culture it divides that culture. I personally have never thought of diversity like that so when I heard so many people saying it and that it was one of the myths that the book mentioned, it got me thinking. Why are so many people scared that diversity is going to divide them from their culture? I believe that diversity is courageous and does not make someone different. It is accepted.
