Choose one of the following questions and discuss the importance of its answer to the CIO, integrating the information on the organization into your response:
1. How are IT projects currently determined and prioritized by the organization?
2. In what ways are the IT staff aligned or disconnected with organizational needs?

I have not personally experienced IT to the business but researching Business and IT alignment is extremely important for market impact and growth. This allows for clearly defined roles and responsibilities. I am sure that most large organizations have aligned their IT to the business. This allows everyone to be on the same page and to strive to complete their goal as one. According to Chrissy Kidd, Some key benefits to list regarding aligning IT and business are reduce IT expenses, speed up time to market, achieve your strategy, and making smarter decisions (planning and budgeting, marketing, infrastructure design, staffing, outsourcing, partnerships, and vendors, etc.) (Kidd, Chrissy 2020).
