This weeks readings and videos are primarily based on rights to the land, natural resource management of plants and areas used for gathering, as well as the impacts of change and its meaning to tribal people

In the reading Native Science this week I found the information that this section provided to be very interesting especially when the western world was being compared to the indigenous way of health care. The topic of peyote was interesting. The idea crossed my mind that maybe western medicine doesn't truly understand the benefits of hallucinogen and how it can be helpful to understand a situation about a being or surrounding more deeply.  I feel that the connection that the indigenous people have with the earth is sacred and the western world should start to listen instead of mocking what has worked for them for thousands of years.
