After stabilization, Mr. Moore is transported to a facility specializing in spinal cord trauma. Upon arrival, he receives a dose of methylprednisolone. His wife remains at his bedside. After several weeks, Mr. Moore is transferred to a rehabilitation unit in order to improve independence with his mobility before he is discharged to go home.
