You are required to deliver a 4-6minute persuasive speech, which calls your audience to action on an issue of your choice. Select an issue that relates to current times and is important to you; research the subject thoroughly. You will have to make strong, clear arguments and provide credible evidence/support to persuade your audience and move them to action. The speech must follow Problem–Solution Order. As its name suggests, the problem–solution speech establishes a serious problem and then identifies what should be done about it. As you learned in Chapter 9, problem–solution speeches can be organized in a variety of ways, but in general, the entire speech is organized following the stages below. 1. Describing the situation. 2. Evaluating the situation as a problem. 3. Proposing a solution. 4. Arguing for the solution. The must be well-balanced using ethos. The speech must contain a proper introduction (attention-getter, topic reveal, thesis, establish credibility, and a preview statement) and conclusion (signal conclusion, reinforce central idea, and effective closing statement). You are required to verbally cite Four sources in your speech. Your sources need to come from credible, scholarly material. Verbal citations must be done correctly, meaning you must verbally identify the author, title, and publication date if provided. You must use at least one visual aid (videos cannot exceed 30 seconds, unless pre-approved by me). You are required to submit a typed, complete sentence outline the day of your speech, prior to delivery. Outlines will not be accepted late. The outline must be formatted properly, and the reference page must adhere to APA. Topics must be approved by me
