Secure weekly menus from three preschools in your local community. Evaluate each menu according to the Meal Pattern Charts found on the 

Nutrition Standards for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Meals and Snacks web page

First, try to get the menu from the organization's web site. If you are not able to do that, you will need to introduce yourself to the center personnel by calling ahead and telling them the purpose for requesting the menu. Then, ask them to email you the menu in digital format or you can arrange to pick up the menu. Assure the center personnel that your evaluation of the menu will only be reviewed by the professor and is for learning purposes only. 

The menu should be for the three-to-five year old age group.

For EACH center's menu, answer the following questions and attach a PDF of the menu. Each question will be the heading for that section of the assignment with the response written directly below. This ensures you answer all parts of the assignment. 

• To what extent does the menu meet the CACFP guidelines for children aged three to five?
• In what ways does the menu promote healthful eating for preschoolers?
• In what ways could the menu be improved?
