You will have the opportunity to apply your new knowledge from previous readings and discussions to research the mass Media industry in reference to how it portrays disability and persons with disabilities.
Mass media refers to a diverse array of media technologies that reach a broad audience via mass communication. For this research, Media includes theatrical, written, and digital, such as Hollywood movies, TV programs, broadcast news, and commercial endorsements, radio and TV talk shows, magazines, newspapers, and the newest technological means and formats of communication.
The Media portrayal of disability and persons with disabilities is influenced by what is believed to be the public's perception of disability characteristics and physical appearance and the roles of persons with disabilities within the family and in society. Your assigned task is to research and find appropriate factual sources and information to complete project. You will find some additional learning resources for this research in the Learning Resources area for Week 3.
Your research analysis will focus on:
a) how the media influences society's perception toward disability and persons with disabilities;
b) how and if the media added to the discrimination against persons with disabilities;
c) how and if the media, as it continues to evolve, is improving the portrayal of disability and persons with disabilities while influencing the public's perception and attitudes toward disability and persons with disabilities social inclusion in all aspects of society.   
The answer should be 6 to 8 pages do NOT use colloquial language (negative speaking terms).
