Before attempting this assignment, please read through unit 5, the related book
chapters, especially Khan (2013) section 10.5 (Fractional Factorial Designs)
Design, perform and analyse a multifactorial experiment of your own devising based
on the material presented for designed experiments. In this assignment, you are
expected to conduct your own experiment, using a fractional factorial design.
Include four experimental factors, and keep the number of levels for each factor to
two. Use a half fraction of a full factorial, i.e. 24-1
factorial design, meaning that you
will have eight (8) experimental trials. Your design matrix should therefore look like
the one shown on page 440 of the Khan e-textbook (below).
