It can be argued that if the ban is implemented, businesses will find the costs associated with hiring smokers (due to having to establish smoke rooms) outweigh the benefits. What can the government do to prevent or mitigate the discrimination law suits that might result from a firm's hesitation to hire a smoker after the ban is implemented?
