Research problem Statement: Do children with diabetes perform better on class exams, than children who do not have diabetes?

Hypothesis: students without diabetes as a medical condition, on average will fare better on class exams than students who have diabetes.

Variables IV - Diabetes present or absent (the diabetic indices can be divided into low, medium and high with number ranges in the diabetic group of students)

DV Dependent Variable student s' class room behavior (good fair or bad, clearly defined constructs)

You can say that I would like to pursue this research problem because it will address a problem in identifying the contributing cause of behavioral problems in students who are diabetic. It will further help in finding out ways in which diabetic students might be helped so that their behavioral problems do not occur or are minimized, and their learning performance can be improved.

Include the research question, and rationale for using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed approach to research. If quantitative or mixed, state the hypothesis. Select one software program appropriate to your research approaches, and discuss pro's and con's of using the software in your project.

This research problem has a quantitative design. The two groups in the experimental study will be quantified on various levels of the variables. And this will help in identifying key data trends and follow the results from the study, more accurately by the use of a simple and comprehensive statistical software, SPSS.

SPSS is a an appropriate software since it can help in analyzing quantitative data for the variables which we plan to study according to the variables and their various levels, in the problem statement presented above.
