Using Excel and the data set below, generate 2 graphs:

• Dilution Factor vs. Absorbance
• Cell concentration vs Absorbance

OD @ 600nm

1. 1/2 dilution - 0.475
2. 1/4 dilution - 0.347
3. 1/8 dilution - 0.285
4. 1/16 dilution - 0.142

To calculate the cell concentration from the OD you need to use the ratio: bacterial cell cultures OD600 of 1.0 = 8 x 10^8cells/ml.

When appropriate include trendlines and equations of the line on each graph. 

Compile these graphs in a Word document. Include a short discussion about the data.
