Statistics

attached is the data file of the results of the research survey. My research topic is “The impact of colorism on the self-concept of Indians living in Bangalore”. The hypothesis should either accept or reject if colorism has an impact on the self-concept of individuals living in Bangalore. These columns are used to measure colorism: Have you ever faced discrimination or prejudice based on your skin tone?, Do you believe that people with lighter skin tones are treated better than those with darker skin tones in Indian society?, Have you ever been judged or treated differently based on your skin color?, Have you ever been told that you would be more attractive if you had lighter skin?, Have you ever used skin-lightening or bleaching products to alter your skin tone? If yes, what motivated you to use them?, To what extent do you believe that your skin tone has influenced your career opportunities?,Have you ever experienced differential treatment or discrimination based on your skin tone in your personal relationships, including friendships?, Have you ever experienced rejection or discrimination in the context of marriage proposals because of your skin color?, Have you ever felt like you had to change your appearance to fit into Indian society's beauty standards?, Do you think that skin color should be a factor in how people are judged and treated in the world?, Have you ever felt like you have to hide your skin color or avoid certain activities because of it? (Examples may include avoiding going to the beach or swimming in public pools, wearing certain clothing or accessories, wearing a certain color of clothing, participating in outdoor activities/sports, etc), How does your skin color impact your self-esteem and self-concept? (subjective perception of self-esteem/self-concept). Apart from these columns, the column “Skin-tone” is an important variable for my analysis. To measure self-concept, I have used Robson’s self-concept questionnaire (this should be used as the objective measure of self-concept). The results of this have already been calculated and imputed under the column “Robson's SCQ”. To interpret them, scores between 30 and 60 suggest a low self-concept, scores between 61 and 90 indicate a moderate self-concept, and scores between 91 and 150 suggest a high self-concept. Age and Gender also are important variables. I need univariate, bi-variate and multivariate analysis done based on the data provided. For statistical analysis, I suggest a correlation and regression analysis. Additionally, you may want to perform a t-test to determine if there are significant differences in self-concept scores between individuals who have experienced discrimination based on their skin-tone versus those who have not. If data has null values, impute them using mean, median or mode as required and then run normality tests. Conduct a comprehensive analysis on the data provided to check if colorism has an impact on the self-concept of individuals. Explain the steps you have taken, why it was done, etc. Interpret the statistical results to determine whether the hypothesis was supported or not. Interpretation of the results along with statistical data has to be submitted separately in a word document along with the .ipynb file.
