Discuss theme in both stories in light of that theme, including quotes from the texts in your response. Having spent time on character last week, consider how character can illustrate theme. What characters that we’ve encountered so far help to understand and clarify the themes of those stories? Many of the stories we’ve read so far are quite dark (even spooky).
