According to Dale Jamieson, climate change challenges the current formulation of ethics. How?

(a) The harms felt by climate change are not immediate nor easily traceable while ethics is better suited to track immediate consequences from actions. 

(b) Since climate change has been occurring naturally for eons, we are already well-positioned to think about the issues it may cause to the future. 

(c) Our ethics are already adapted to deal with long-term, large-scale issues, but we haven't yet developed the arguments that get people to buy-in. 

(d) We focus too much on the teachings of the utilitarian John Stuart Mill over Immanuel Kant, who's deontological framework is more appropriate for climate ethics. 

(e) The harms felt by climate change are not immediate nor easily traceable but our Western ethics don't translate well to other cultures so getting everyone on the same page will be difficult.
