Develop thesis statements in response to the following prompts.

Prompt 1: Same-sex classrooms have gone in and out of favor in public education.  Explain the extent to which you support same-sex classrooms for public schools in grades 9 through 12.

Prompt 4: Some view advertising as an essential connection between business and consumer; others claim that it degrades the people it appeals to, depriving them of the will to choose.  Develop an argument explaining the degree of influence advertising plays in our lives.  

Prompt 5: Plagiarism is rampant in public high schools and colleges, rising corresponding to the growing popularity of the Internet. Establish what the proper response of a teacher should be to a student who turns in plagiarized work.
