The purpose of this essay is to use theories and concepts from the course to describe how you would develop a cohesive and productive team within an organization.

You will write the essay as a leader of a large or a small organization.

You can select the organization. It may be a business where have worked or one that you are familiar with based on your interests. You can choose an international corporation or a small business with few staff members. It can be a non-profit or for-profit organization. You are free to choose an organization of interest to you.

Overall, I would like to know if you were in a leadership position at your chosen organization, what could you do to make a stronger impact on the followers in the organization? How would you ensure that you had a high functioning team with great group dynamics?

Please use relevant theories and concepts from the course content to describe techniques that you may use to develop a high functioning team within your chosen organization.

Your essay should include:

o A clear description of the organization/industry

o A summary of the current situation/context of the organization

o An evaluation of where the organization could be falling short in ensuring a high functioning team(s)

o Lessons from research on what can be done to make the organization better (referring to concepts and theories covered in the course).

It is important to demonstrate your knowledge about group dynamics, organizational behaviour, and leadership while clearly referencing your sources (see instructions below).
