The Morneaus go to their family cottage for March break to ski, only to discover that there has been a power outage since the last time they were there (in October). More than $700 worth of food in the freezer chest has to be thrown out. Additionally, the power outage disabled the alarm and they notice that a mountain bike is missing from the garage. The Morneaus are not sure if the bike was stolen.
