Each child is different, and a learning disability will present itself differently from child to child. It would be hard to intervene if we cannot properly identify the children who need help. In this article it explains how certain testing can potentially analyze students and help create intervention plans to better ensure success of the student. During this research study they use different measures and created a growth chart to see if an individualized plan would work for the student. RTI framework allows schools to test students to better match students with the areas that they struggled the most in. Also, every child retains information differently and therefore cannot be taught the same. Learning disabilities are present in children all over the world and sometimes often overlooked. The author explains we should raise more awareness, so the issue is not just swept under the rug and each child is getting the attention that they need. Utilizing planned teaching programs to help parents and teachers be more aware of how to help these children. Having a learning disability does not mean the child will not have a normal life however helping early and making others aware of how to help can go a long way. EBook Reference: Swanson, H.
