Method you use to test your product should yield repeatable, quantitative results! Assess your results and choose one formula to recommend. Some of the criteria you may wish to consider include: Is the finished product safe for the average home user? Is the finished product effective? Is the finished product environmentally friendly? Are the ingredients affordable and easy to source? Is the finished product aesthetically pleasing? (That is, does it look and smell nice?) You will need to research your product ingredients to find answers to some of these questions. Aim to complete phase 2 by the start of week 8 at the latest (October 31). Phase 3: Create SOP Once you have identified the best composition for your chemical product, you will write one Standard Operating Procedure for formulating the chemical product. You will also write a second Standard Operating Procedure for using the chemical product for its intended application. Please use the template provided. Each SOP must include: Header Title page Table of contents 1. Purpose 2. Scope 3. Background 4. Health and safety 5. Materials 6. Procedure 7. Evaluation 8. Quality assurance 9. Accident procedures Appendix A: Glossary Appendix B: References Appendix C: Bibliography Your SOP assignment is worth 25% of your final grade and is due by 12-noon on Nov. 18, 2022. Additional guidelines will be discussed in our week 8 lesson; you will have access to a template for these documents. Use the rubric provided to review your work before you submit your final draft.
