Question 1

1. Explain with the help of a diagram Mintzberg’s basic organisational framework.

2. Differentiate between an entrepreneurial organisational structure and a machine bureaucratic organisational structure.

(30 marks)

          NOTE :

• Introduction
• Entrepreneurial organizational structure :  when start the small business, people are smart to identify the opportunity in market, small business…etc (differentiate)
• Machine bureaucratic structure : mechanistic type of structure refer to what type of organization, what kind of organization tends to be bureaucratic : eg government departments..etc (differentiate)

Question 2

When a company implements strategies, it is important to know if the strategies that have been implemented have been effective.

Explain the goals approach of measuring the effectiveness of implemented strategies and evaluate the five (5) main key indicators of this approach that you can use to measure the effectiveness of the implemented strategies.

(40 marks)

NOTE :

 

• 1 paragraph : explain the goals approach of measuring the effectiveness
• Put heading : 5 main key indicator explain with examples

• Profitability : did you manage to gain the profit in your investment/business
• Market share :  how much market share you have capture compare to your competitor? Increase in market share
• Growth : in term of sales, number of customer increase or not?
• Social responsibility : how well your organization has contributed to society or not
