can maternal effect affect cloning? so i would like to know if for maternal effect genes, would this clone have the phenotype from the new nucleus or from the somatic cell donor? and how?
What other inheritance aspects would be different from the genetic material of the inserted nucleus (what else would the somatic cell have inside that could influence the traits of the clone)?
I learned that A maternal effect gene exists in a dominant B (functional) allele and a recessive b (loss of function) allele. i would like to know the state the offspring phenotype and genotype ratios. 1. bb female x BB male, 2. BB female x bb male, and 3. Bb female x Bb male
