Each student will select a sport organization (collegiate team, high school team, high-level recreation team or program, grassroots sport organization, or non-profit sport entity) and design a homepage for that organization using the tools learned in Adobe Photoshop or another software program that you may be more comfortable with. For this project you are not required to use Photoshop.
This is a mock-up exercise. In other words, you are not actually creating a webpage using web development programs but are rather creating a conceptual design that will be the basis for the webpage. The major focus of this project is the design elements (aesthetics) and the content concepts (website navigation links, content areas and the purpose of each area, etc).
Again, you are not creating a functioning webpage, but simply designing one page. Example: Use Photoshop to design the navigation tabs (the navigation links will obviously be simply text or picture elements and not actual links). As you are designing your website take into consideration all of the elements you assessed during your Website Evaluation Assignment in Week 1:

For this project, you are using the internet public relations knowledge you acquired in Modules 1 & 2 and are combining that with Photoshop or another software program of your choice to come up with a homepage. You are only creating a mockup for a one page homepage, no other webpages are needed. Regardless of whatever software you choose, this project must be uploaded to Blackboard as a PDF file.
