(a) An electrical component is made up of two independent circuits, C1 and C2 which are designed to last for a year. In the past, circuit Cl has 95% chance of lasting for a year while circuit C2 has 96% chance of lasting for a year. The electrical component will work as long as one of the circuits is still working. Find the probability that at the end of a year (i) both circuits are working, (3 marks) (ii) the electrical component is working. (3 marks)
