The controversy of race and drug use is complex. What really is the racial bias with drug use about? Write a paper that explores the factors that confound this controversial issue. First explore drug abuse statistics across race (do certain drugs have certain racial profiles?) . Then research factors such as geography (do different areas of the country-or the world- have different rates or have different racial use make-ups?), unemployment (are drug use and employment related?), poverty, socio-economic status (not just low income but how does higher income impact drug use, criminal prosecution (does race impact drug punishment?) and family factors (abuse, neglect or genetics for example). Discuss each of these factors in at least one short paragraph each. Follow up with ONE conclusion on race and drug use based on what you learned to summarize your paper. Your last paragraph should have a conclusion based on all the factors together.
