ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

PROFESSIONAL PRESENTATION (150 points):

Imagine that a peer was so impressed by your business plan that they asked you to present at their

workplace. The audience for your presentation is a group of employees at this organization who have been identified as “high potential;” they are completing a year-long leadership program designed to prepare them for promotion. Create a narrated PowerPoint presentation in which you address:

1. The importance of leadership to teams both before they are convened and while they are working (30 points)

2. Brief discussion of each of the required elements of your business plan (55 points)

3. Notable successes of your team, notable challenges the team encountered and how you lead through those challenges (20 points)

4. How your new knowledge of leading teams has informed your leadership philosophy and/or practice.

(20 points)

** The remaining 20 points for this assignment is for professionalism (quality of PowerPoint slides, professional attire, and quality of verbal presentation)

Your presentation should be a 6 — 8 slide narrated PowerPoint video presentation. You must be dressed professionally and present in a professional manner. Your video should be at least 8 minutes, but no more than 12 minutes in length. Your video will be submitted via the drop box for evaluation by your instructor.
